USIBC in association with AES, Fluence and Siemens will host a cocktail reception during India Smart Utility Week. This reception will celebrate and promote the opening of India’s first and South Asia’s largest grid-scale battery storage system this past month in New Delhi. In coordination with Tata Power DDL, AES and Mitsubishi Corporation developed and delivered this 10 MW grid-connected system, powered by Fluence’s Advancion energy storage technology platform, that will pave the way for wider adoption of grid-scale technology across India. This project will provide grid stabilization, better peak load management, add system flexibility, enhance reliability and protect critical facilities for 2 million consumers served by Tata Power-DDL. The reception will include US Government energy officials, Government of India energy leaders, representatives from various state-owned distribution companies, as well as representatives from both central and state electricity regulatory commissions.
