On October 4, the U.S.-India Business Council will host two high-level, invitation only business roundtables with delegations from the states of Arkansas and Indiana.

Governor of Arkansas Asa Hutchinson will make his first trip to India in October for a visit designed to deepen economic linkages between Arkansas and India. USIBC and the Confederation for Indian Industry (CII) will host Governor Hutchinson in Mumbai for an industry engagement focused on trade and investment opportunities in sectors including aerospace and defense; distribution and logistics; food and beverage; metals; paper and timber; software development; data management and transportation and infrastructure. The governor’s delegation will include executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission Secretary Mike Preston, Arkansas deputy chief of staff of external operations Bill Gossage and Arkansas Economic Development Commission director of Asia and Japan Neal Jansen.

Governor of Indiana Eric Holcomb will travel to New Delhi and Mumbai, where he will join USIBC and CII, supported by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, for an exclusive industry event focused on strengthening Indiana-India connectivity across the aerospace and defense; tech; manufacturing; agriculture, cyber security, life sciences and energy sectors. Governor Holcomb will be joined by Indiana secretary of commerce Jim Schellinger and Indiana Economic Development Corporation chief innovation officer Dave Roberts. While in Mumbai, the Governor will also join the Indiana Pacers in Mumbai for the NBA’s inaugural games in India on Oct. 4 and 5.

These events are invitation-only and closed to the press. For more information on opportunities to engage officials at the state level, or to find out more about USIBC’s city and state connectivity work, please contact Sid Mehra or Sandip Samaddar.
