The U.S.-India Business Council and Dhruva Advisors will host a conference call following the release of India’s Union Budget 2020-2021 on February 1. This will be the first full-year budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman since India’s general elections in 2019, and will offer insights into the Government of India’s approach to the reforms and initiatives needed to accelerate economic growth in 2020.

Dinesh has been recognized by his peer group as amongst the top tax advisors in India. Prior to founding Dhruva, he held a series of leadership positions across several large professional service organizations in India. He was the Deputy CEO of KPMG India where he played a key role in developing and implementing the firm’s overall strategy. He also served as Chairman of KPMG’s tax practice. Before joining KPMG, he served as the Deputy CEO of RSM & Co, a leading tax boutique in India and subsequently led the tax and regulatory practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) upon the merger of RSM & Co with PwC.He has worked with the Government on several policy committees. He was a member of the Rangachary Committee constituted by the Prime Minister of India to deal with tax reforms in the IT/ITES sector and for evolving Safe Harbour Rules.
Ajay Rotti

Ajay is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from the CIMA, UK.Prior to joining Dhruva Advisors, Ajay was a Partner with KPMG. He has also worked with BMR Advisors for 6 years from its inception.
He has considerable experience in corporate tax, transfer pricing and international tax areas, and has also advised several technology companies on strategies around setting up Special Economic Zones units and has been instrumental in obtaining numerous SEZ unit approvals.
Ritesh Kanodia
Partner, Mumbai, Dhruva Advisors
Ritesh is a lawyer and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has worked in indirect taxes through different roles over the past 15 years.
He was previously a partner at Economic Laws Practice (ELP) and prior to that he was in Deloitte.
His areas of proficiency include Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) as well as export control legislation. He has advised various domestic and multinational companies on tax controversies including devising pre-litigation strategies. He also appears before various administrative and judicial forums.
Ritesh has contributed articles in various professional journals/newspapers and has been a regular speaker in domestic and international seminars.
