New Delhi, India
On March 15th, USIBC in coordination with AES, Siemens and Fluence and the Indo-German Energy Forum will provide technical tours of the newly inaugurated 10 MW energy storage facility owned by AES and Mitsubishi Corporation, powered by Fluence’s Advancion energy storage technology platform, and operated by Tata Power DDL. The technical tour will provide regulators, distribution company executives, and government officials, the opportunity to see first hand how battery-based energy storage enables electricity to be stored and then delivered within milliseconds. India has the ambitious vision of installing 225 GW of renewable energy generation by 2022. Battery-based energy storage will be required to provide the flexibility and agility of the grid to better integrate intermittent solar and wind energy resources into India’s network and ensure high-quality power for consumers.
