JAMES TAICLET

Chairman, President & CEO, American Tower Corporation

James Taiclet is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive of American Tower Corporation, a leading global developer, owner and operator of telecommunications real estate headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining American Tower, Mr. Taiclet served as President of Honeywell Aerospace Services, a unit of Honeywell International, and prior to that as Vice President, Engine Services at Pratt & Whitney, a unit of United Technologies Corporation.

He was also previously a consultant at McKinsey & Company, specializing in telecommunications and aerospace strategy and operations. Mr. Taiclet began his career as a United States Air Force officer and pilot and served in the Gulf War. He holds a Master in Public Affairs degree from Princeton University, where he was awarded a Fellowship at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and is a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with majors in Engineering and International Relations.

Mr. Taiclet is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Business Roundtable, the Business Council and the Commercial Club of Boston. He is also a member of the Digital Communications Governors Community of the World Economic Forum (Davos). He also serves as a member of the Executive Board of The National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (Nareit), the Board of Trustees of Brigham and Women’s Health Care, Inc., the Advisory Council for the Princeton University Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and Lockheed Martin’s Board of Directors. In June 2015, Mr. Taiclet was named as one of seven CEO’s in Forbes Magazine’s “Global 2000 Hall of Fame” and, in November 2018, the Harvard Business Review included him on its list of “The 100 Best- Performing CEOs in the World” for the seventh consecutive time. In August 2015, Mr. Taiclet was appointed to the US-India CEO Forum, and, in October 2018, he was appointed Co-Chair of the US-India CEO Forum by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
