Transcript

When the Supreme Court returns from its summer recess – it will hear a great number of cases important to the business community.  They range from antitrust, environmental regulation, employment law, punitive damages, and federal preemption and government contract liability. The National Chamber Litigation Center, the Chamber’s public policy law firm –has filed amicus briefs in more than half those business cases. 2 of the cases at the top of our Supreme Court list include: Philip Morris versus Williams –which deals with punitive damages and the global warming case of Massachusetts versus EPA.   We applaud the Supreme Court for recognizing that business cases belong on its docket and deserve to be addressed.

-Robin Conrad
National Chamber Litigation Center, U.S. Chamber of Commerce
 Senior Vice President
