It is essential to address many of the myths and realities connected with India in order to assist American companies to understand how to better navigate the somewhat complex business environment. In 2010, TradeRoots is partnering with the U.S.-India Council and local chambers around the country to organize a program titled U.S.-India Business Forums. This national series of half-day seminars will discuss the many issues that American small and midsize companies need to know about doing business in India and will be the only one of its kind nationally. Program speakers may include members of congress, Ambassadors, Governors, administration officials, and business and community leaders as well as high level business officials from India. These forums also feature industry experts who provide hands-on information on topics including market access and compliance, intellectual property issues, distribution and trading rights, and customs clearance issues and will deal with the issue of outsourcing. Local business resources and success stories will also be highlighted.
