Manufacturing Delegation to India

The U.S.-India Business Council is pleased to announce a Delegation to New Delhi from October 18-20, 2016.

The delegation will meet with key Indian government officials as well as U.S. diplomats and other stakeholders in the U.S.-India manufacturing sector. The overriding theme of the Mission will be to promote the Make in India for the World enabling environment for global manufacturers in India. Under this umbrella, the delegation will focus its advocacy on two broad areas:

First, the delegation will advocate for reforms that will lead to an improved business environment in India, and second, the delegation will advocate for high level reforms that will enable India to incorporate more fully as a manufacturing partner in global value chains.

Mission Goals: 1) To work with the Government of India to explore areas for private sector collaboration on the Prime Minister's Make in India initiative. 2) To advocate for specific policy reforms that will enable further investment in the Indian manufacturing sector and alleviate pain points for current investors. 3) To introduce the USIBC Manufacturing Committee to key constituencies within the Indian manufacturing sector and broader government affairs community.
