ICT Dialogue Meeting Report 2008

On December 7-10, 2008, the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) led a group of executives to the 6th Meeting of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Dialogue in New Delhi, India. Following the Dialogue, USIBC executives held bilateral meetings with key Government of India officials to discuss a range of issues related to information technology, telecommunications, and media and broadcasting.

Overview of Dialogue

On November 4, 2009, the Department of State hosted the 7th meeting of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Dialogue. Created in July 2005 during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Washington, DC, the ICT Dialogue facilitates growth in trade and investment in information technology, telecommunications, and media and broadcasting. It is led on the U.S. side by Ambassador Philip Verveer, Coordinator for Information Policy at the Department of State, and on the Indian side by Special Secretary R.
